In addition to a full calendar of social events, many members of Newcomers Encore of Baton Rouge are actively involved in charitable and community service efforts throughout the year. From hands-on volunteering to meaningful donations, our members are committed to giving back.

Members wrap Christmas gifts for local foster children in partnership with the Brave Heart organization. We also prepare Easter baskets and collect toys for the annual St. Vincent de Paul charity events. A book and puzzle sale held during one of our luncheons supports the Louisiana Library and Book Festival Foundation.

Additionally, money collected in service baskets at our luncheons is donated to local charities, including Brave Heart, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul, and the Women’s Community Rehabilitation Center.

Philanthropic efforts are chosen by members based on personal involvement, community needs, and a shared belief that Newcomers Encore can help make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Currently, the Newcomers Encore Club of Baton Rouge supports the following organizations:
